Electrodynamics is a branch of physics that deals with electromagnetic phenomena.

It is a particularly elegant theory, which holds as long as the length scales do not become so small that quantum mechanical effects occur.
HistoryDanish physicist Hans Christian Ørsted discovered a correlation of electricity and magnetism in 1820. The French mathematician André-Marie Ampère (1775 - 1836) coined the word electrodynamics. |
