Quantum internet

A quantum internet facilitates the transmission of information in the form of qubits between physically separated quantum processors.

Explanation

Quantum chips can be entangled at the nodes in a network. This is done using qubits that are sent via the internet. This creates a guaranteed secure connection.

History

At present, there is no network connecting quantum processors, or quantum repeaters deployed outside a lab.
