On a Casio calculator you can add a result to the memory

When the variable M contains data, this is shown in the status line by an M. Answer memory contents are updated with result whenever you press  M+ .

To add the value 123 to memory that was still empty

To calculate the total

23 + 9  = 32
53 − 6  = 47
45 × 2  = 90 −

M=                   32.     2   3  +  9  STO  M  M

45×2M-            90.     4   5  ×  2         M+    M

M=                   -11.    RCL  M  M
